Gerard Galasso

Senior Product Designer, NYC

Senior Product Designer. I led design for Bloomberg sales CRM tools.

A sales rep opens one firm page: spend, pipeline, products, description, meetings. That is Enterprise Intelligence. Org Chart and tech stack are sections of it. Then McKinsey slide reuse. Then Quotes as a slide-in module at Chase.

Overview. Firm, product, pipeline.

Bloomberg Enterprise Intelligence

One firm page. Spend, pipeline, products, description, meetings.

Problem. Sales tools were scattered. A rep rebuilt the firm by hand from spend tools, notes, spreadsheets, and whoever last owned the account.

Role. Senior Product Designer, UX Employee Collaboration. May 2023 to August 2026. Lead design for the sales tools the sales team used. EI is the project that put them on one firm page.

Constraint. Reps would not trust commentary, strategy, or sentiment without knowing who entered it, when, and whether it was system-generated.

Proof. Trust of source and authorship was the risk. Lab sessions are method, not the outcome.

Org Chart. Prototype. Fictional firm.

Bloomberg Org Chart

Map who matters without rebuilding the org from memory

Problem. Sales reps stitched client structure from spreadsheets, shared notes, and memory before they could plan coverage.

Role. Senior Product Designer, UX Employee Collaboration. May 2023 to August 2026. Main section of Enterprise Intelligence.

Constraint. The model has to survive co-heads, dotted lines, and sub-desks without becoming another thing to maintain by hand.

Proof. Upkeep was the adoption risk. Interviews are not the proof.

Paste hero. UX ideas for reuse.

McKinsey Slide reuse

Paste without importing the source master

Problem. Copying a slide into a client deck created orphan masters, layout breakage, and a ticket to the graphics team.

Role. Product Design Lead, Technology & Digital Co-Creative Problem Solving. March 2022 to March 2023. Sole product designer on the custom PowerPoint platform.

Constraint. The existing format tool only converted to the firm template. Most reuse landed in a client template.

Proof. Survey counts are method, not the outcome.

Quotes after. Slide-in panel. Price, chart, Overview.

JPMorgan Quotes

Price, chart, Overview. Slide-in module.

Problem. Opening a detailed quote from Portfolio sent customers into a different section of the site. They wanted last price, chart, and news out in front, not a closed list of destinations.

Role. UX Design Lead, Digital Wealth Management, JPMorgan Chase & Co. / IHS Markit. September 2016 to November 2020.

Constraint. Close had to return to the page the customer came from, on the design system for Chase digital investment products.

Proof. Close returns to the originating page.
